if things “go bad” it would mean Mike Anderson had bud first losing season ever and I think he’d be more pissed about it than anybody.  The guy is a winner and a class act. I think we are in pretty good shape.

I think when dealing with Anderson it's more a case of things "not going great enough" as opposed to "things going bad." He has a high floor, and since we're not a football school, I don't ever envision a scenario where his lower-than-high ceiling results in donors successfully calling for his head.

Amazing news. Stability should be goal number one for any successful college program. It shows everyone that if they come here they are coming to a nurturing and consistent environment. I trust Anderson and his staff to help lead this program to continued success. First time I’m really felt this way since this Millennium.

100 percent on board with this...

CMA strikes me as that rare breed – a professional college basketball coach; a guy interested in building a program and young men. From what we've seen, I like his approach, values, work ethic and decision making. Seems a very good fit for us...

So congrats to Coach Anderson and to Mike Cragg for getting the deal done. Good times ahead...

It's absolutely insane that this is the first head coach of ours to be extended since Carnasecca. You can point to that more than anything else as to why this program has been down for the last 2 decades.

That being said I'm really happy that we have a great, coach, AD and new president locked up for the foreseeable future. Should lead to a lot of better times for this program.

Didn’t one of out recent coaches have a rolling contract? Maybe Lavin?

really great news to see the stability and support for CMA.

Norm.  But, after the initial five years, it became much cheaper to buy him out.

Lavin actually took less money then we offered him, so that he could bring Dunlap and Keady aboard.

I think the rap he gets for having a high floor/low ceiling needs to be framed properly...if you’re not cheating in the SEC, you have a hand tied behind your back. . . And, he still had one of the better records.

Once he gets going here he will be able to recruit well against most of the BE

Just to be clear, I didn't even know he got a rap for high floor/low ceiling.

And by high ceiling, I meant 30+ wins every year like the Kentuckys of the world. I have no issue whatsoever with what I suspect Anderson will be giving us.

Wasn’t meant as a rebuttal to your post. Just came to mind when you mentioned the “floor” and reminded me that a low ceiling reference has been posted on a few occasions
