Was that taken today?? If so, Champy is not playing Wed/Thursday. Thats ok though. We are deep enough to beat these types of teams w/o him.

It was posted on Twitter yesterday. I just saw it. I wouldn't take SP for granted. Bookies agree since they only have us as 11 pt favs at home. This won't be a gimme IMO, with or without Champ.

I agree. The Peacocks are picked as a surprise team in the MAAC and have an up and coming coach who has brought some players in there. We are going to have to play a very good game to win. This will not be a cakewalk.

St Peters has a 1st team all MAAC kid, 2 third team kids and picked to be the 3rd best team in the maac in the preseason poll.

We are going to crush them with or without Champs. We are bigger, faster and deeper than last year. We don’t relent on defense and we have the horses. We might not be sharp out of the gates, but Iron Mike has his teams prepared. Mark it down.

I have no doubt CMA will have this team ready. I'm also pretty sure SH will have his team ready as well. Hoping for a blow out. Expecting a battle. Think the line is a bit low, but I wont be putting money on SJU laying 11 +/- in this one.

Wait a minute, so 95% of the board is saying how we will finish 3rd and CMA is a great coach...but we may not beat St. Peter's? A MAAC team? Lol...don't get me wrong St. Peter's is not a great team, but they aren't bad either. They are just decent for their level. If we are to go anywhere this year, we should not have much trouble with them deep into the 2nd half. Maybe they hang around for a half, but if our talent is what most posters say it is, then this should be a relatively easy win. Can't look past them obviously, but if we lose to St. Peter's, what does that say about CMA and our talent? Would it shake anyone's beliefs?

No reason we shouldn't win on Wed & Thurs., but not expecting any blowouts. Sure Anderson will mix and match to get a feel of best combos and also pacing to ensure guys are good to go the following afternoon.

There’s no issue in pacing. I saw our new
Guys scrimmage our returning players ie.”our top 10 without Champs”, and we won’t be tired. Cma has these guys in shape. Just getting bugs out of defense and offense will likely be issue early on, but it will not be conditioning nor depth. I also do expect us to keep our foot on the gas early on. We need to be ready for the tougher opponents. Not going to ease into this.

I hope we don't do that thing where we come out super excited on offense shooting 3's all day and miss a ton, then we look up and St. Peter's is up 12-4 giving them confidence. We need to get the easy layups and dunks early to setup our shooting. Every game we should establish our slashing game as to set up our 3 pt shot. If we come out shooting all day without a good shooting team, we will be in early holes or keep bad teams around. One of the most annoying parts of the Mullin era.

If you watched last year, we really don’t do that. That’s a part of prior coaches and not part of this coaching regime. We will be on them from minute 1. No chance because we don’t have showboats nor guys auditioning right now.

Definitely no dogging it or half-hearted attempts. Hope we don't look lost without Julian offensively. Looks like the source close to CMA saying he would play is probably untrue...would think he misses several games against mid and low majors and save him for meaningful games. Staff still seems to feel it's not major but we all know how things can linger.
