Watched the broadcast last evening

Time well spent

Both Justin and Paris said they were very proud that they are graduates and that earning their college degree from St. John's meant a lot to them

Justin and Paris roomed together in prep school and Justin said that he constantly told Paris that he should go to St. John's with him since there was no place better to play basketball than at St. John's. That there is no better place to play than Madison Square Garden

Paris is the Godfather to Justin's daughter, who is now 8 years of age.

Both said that Lavin and his staff were the reason they were able to have long professional careers. Said under Lavin, and particularly Mike Dunlap they learned the value of accountability. Said there was a professional attitude from the first day of practice. Also gave a shout out to Rico and Tony

Had nothing but good things to say about Norm and his staff and felt the failure of Norm's year's was on them as much as the staff

Talked about their win over Duke (which was ranked # 5 when we beat them @ MSG). Said they had that game circled on their calendar. Both said from their first summer practice, Mike Dunlap told them they were going to beat Duke.

The week leading up to the game, Justin and Paris said practice was brutal and that the team felt they were being overworked and wouldn't be able to compete vs. Duke

The coaching staff told them that they we're young and once the lights went on they would be ready to go....and they most certainly were

Said the loss of DJ later that season really hurt them. Paris and Justin felt that they would have won the Big Eats Tournament if DJ was healthy, and that they would have received a much higher seed and played in Washington D.C. in stead of getting a much lower seed than anticipated and being shipped out Denver

Both said the altitude "killed" them in the Mile High City

Justin is still playing in Japan and just signed a new contract. He is also trying to become a Japanese citizen. Said the people in Japan could not be nicer

Paris has been battling an injury and is considering starting the next chapter of his life which would be in coaching.

Both wanted to act as mentors to current players and Justin specifically said he wished he had a former player to "bounce" things off of when he was an undergrad

Both young men are great representatives of our alma mater

That is an awesome overview of the interview JSJ.

It really appears that the combination of Lavin and Dunlap could have made us a top tier Big East squad if Lavin was fully engaged in closing the deal on recruits. Alone each don't attain the level they did together.

I always felt that Justin was as fundamentally as sound a big forward as we'd had in quite some time, and that it was enigmatic that he wasn't a star here. Still and all, as his freshman star faded, he was nothing but a solid citizen here.

I'm going to have to watch the broadcast now.

Guys like this make me proud to be a fan of this program.

This would be great. So many of use have complained about the lack of alumni around the program.

A number of basketball alumni have wanted to be involved over the past # of years but were not encouraged to do so.

I know that for a fact.

Thankfully, that is not the case under Coach Anderson.

I agree JSJ, I also joined Monday night. It was a very informative and entertaining interview with both Justin and Paris.
