I just looked up Marist and they have a 6'7 250 lb Center named Victor Enoh...was a 3 star #293 nationally originally committed to Memphis but transferred to Marist. His stats don't look impressive, but I have to believe after seeing the development of Roberts, CMA would be able to make him at least a serviceable big. Now my question, how in the hell can one of the worst MAAC teams (one of the worst conferences and low major) get these types and we can't? It's a real problem we have and I'd like to know exactly why we can never land these types. We need meat and we need height. Just exhausting always being the much smaller team.

To make my point further, I randomly looked up Coastal Carolina's roster. They have 6'10 280 lb Levi Cook (center) who is described as having a jump hook and just scored 11 and 6 reb yesterday. I'm not saying I expect a lottery pick. I'm asking for a legit big man who has some chance of being developed. They also have Essam Mostafa a 6'9 220 lb 3 star #283 nationally from LI LUTHERAN GLEN HEAD! That's our backyard. Now please...someone explain why logically Marist and Coastal Carolina have no issues with this and we do. As bad as we have been, we are a clear big step up in relevancy, brand, and stage.

You are making a point but it's not the one you think you are making.

I think we kicked the tires on Essam Mostafa, because I remember saying something like if it helps us get Curbelo I'm all for it.

But that was the last staff. And if he's redshirting there, what could he possibly have done for us? Bringing in a big for the sake of bringing in a big is silly. We need guys who can actually play at this level, preferably guys who also go to class.

Was at the Hofstra vs College of Charleston battle for first place in the Colonial AA and Kante finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He is a big that nobody is going to push around and definitely could have helped us by providing much needed hight and bulk.

Thanks for update. How was he at running the floor in our approach?

Not going to win any relay races but for the life of me I don't get why some see this as a problem. Why do you need all 5 guys running up the court? Can't one rebound and outlet pass? How many times do you see all 5 guys beating the defense up the court? Do teams have all 5 guys running up the court all game long. This isn't directed at you just venting at so many who type cast players. Is there not a defensive end of the court where you need some height and build to defend the other teams bigs? A garbage man on the offensive end which we haven't had in forever to get put backs is also of value.

Steere had a high ranking coming out of HS and NC State gobbled him up .. Obviously , for whatever reasons , it didn’t work out for him there and he transferred here in Dec 2018 for a sit out year . Who knows what Matt A saw in him , except the HS ranking ? Opting out of NC State after 1 Semester might have been a red flag but , who really knows .. And , just saying , Steere thought he would be playing for Mullin and not Anderson . Coaching changes , different personalities , affect the Roster . Eli Wright and Anderson weren’t a fit apparently either . Despite Mike knowing him from Miss State . Anderson obviously wanted to keep Heron and essentially , sold Mustapha on staying for his Sr Year . Heron’s Pan Am and Brown game injuries torpedoed his season . And , I think Coach wanted Heron to be the Focus of the Offense with Figgy a close second . A healthy Heron , scoring 17-20’per game would have helped a lot on a team short of offense . Steere ? Adios .

Best of luck to Ian Steere. May he mature and find the best situation for himself. Ultimately, parting way will be best for both sides.
