Seriously that game was teetering on the edge of blowout when the refs decided to slow the game down by calling a foul every 15 seconds. The slow pace let DePaul stick around, and our free throw misses didn’t help. But we got back on track with those.

We are always going to get the short end of the deal when the refs call the games tightly, since we rely so heavily on our pressure D. Even when there’s little or no difference in the number of fouls called on each team. We’ve got to learn how to deal with it.

Didn’t get to watch the game today. It was great following it here and thanks for all the updates. Good to get our first conference win. Now maybe the kids can just go about their business and settle down. On to Providence.

As a result, he's played about 120 minutes more than Heron & Dunn, but taken the same amount of free throws as Heron and 12 less than Dunn. He's got the athleticism to take it right at the rim and not settle for the floater.

His length helps him in so many ways but it hurts him going to the rim. He doesn’t have the body control through contact or the ability to change directions in the paint. He gets his momentum going forward and he pretty much has to go straight with long strides. It’s not easy to get passed help defenders like that, hence the floaters.

Interesting way of looking at it Amase and you may well be right. But seems to me that he's not so tall that he shouldn't be able to move his body to avoid contact. I wonder if it's a question of needing to be stronger to absorb contact and still finish. That floater looks pretty when it goes in but it doesn't go in enough and he should get to the line more than he does. Not looking to be critical. Bottom line is both LJ & Heron are solid players who should be 15 points per game scorers. Given the fact that Dunn & Champagnie are giving us more than expected that may be enough for us to stay competitive in BE. 17 or 18 wins is doable and would be a big win imho.

Sears didn’t play a ton either. With Dunn and Williams getting so many minutes, and with the uptempo pace of the game, seemed like CMA wanted to stick with a smaller/faster lineup. Don’t expect Steere to see much PT the rest of the way. Not sure he’s a match with CMA’s style of play.

Agree on the floaters being for most part unproductive, but equal issue of concern to me is his reaching & fouling seemingly out of frustration at key times. We need him, so he must play smarter.

None of our Bigs were impressive today. Sears misses lay ups, Robert's can't shoot and Steere is the most gifted of them but has had a tough time grasping the plays CMA wants to run. Steere needs to become a team member rather than an outcast. I hope he gets it sooner rather than "see ya later".

Does anyone know what's going on with Steere? Always leery of transfers. Dude should have no problem getting some minutes.

All I hear is that he plays soft as Carvel and uninspired when given a chance. That won't fly with this staff. Hate to see wasted talent but you can drag a horse to water but...........

Disappointing on Steere.

If its physical or lack of ability, that's one thing, but lack of effort when opportunity for minutes right in front of you is headscratching.

Like seeing Taurean Thompson glued to Hall's bench. Can't even get a minute.
