Fine prospect with good hands, sense of game, good first year rebounding & scoring numbers, deserving solid minutes, starting or not.

To me Caraher is this year's Trimble. An overrated shooter.

Caraher isn’t a shooter though.

He’s proven himself to be tough willing to mix it up down low.

I’d take Caraher over Trimble and any of the so called shooters we’ve had through the years.

I dont think he is over rated. He played better then we expected. That said,on a better team he wouldnt be a starter as a freshman

Caraher shot 36% from 3 last year.

This year he is down to 27%

Caraher did not come in here as a shooter, talk about your never ending stereotypes. He was pegged that by uninformed posters who assumed he was a 3 point specialist because he is white. Sorry, this is really a reply to the plethora of posts misrepresenting him since he came here. He was a scorer at I believe, Houston Baptist, not a shooter.

Or maybe because none of us saw him play and saw that he was 20th in his conference in 3's % wise shooting more than 5 a game as just a freshman maybe people assumed he could shoot

Personally I wasn't expecting much. Got excited when he lost all the weight. If he is solid role player I'm fine with that

With the line moved back from his first year and a completely different level of competition, not to mention a completely different role on the court. Less than a third of his field goals his freshman year were 3’s. He is a player, not a shooter as assumed by many here.

Mikey Dixon got labeled as a shooter too. Look at his shooting numbers at Qauinippiac vs Caraher. Almost identical. Dixon shot 37% Caraher shot 36% from deep both took 5 threes a game

I totally get the label thing with some players but in the Caraher case I dont think it's that simple
