no doubt he has the physical gifts. and no doubt he'll be a an amazing 4 year player.

But, right now, i don't think he should be a starter or getting as many minutes as he has.

against better competition, WV, AZ, Butler, he has gone a combined, 2 for 17 from the field, and 0 for 6 from 3.

when Moose is ready, i'd like to see Nick, Moose, LJ, Roberts, and Caraher.

thoughts?

Being a starter and/or overrated are two different things. I agree that coming off the bench would ease him into BE play better.

He's definitely not overrated. Julian has played well above everyone's expectations.

I think Caraher is something like 2-12 and 1-5 in those same games so I don’t see a difference. Anyway they are both playing so we will see what happens.

agree that he has played above expectations. The young man has shown good court awareness and has been our best rebounder on the defensive end through 14 games. He is averaging 10 points and 6 rebounds per game which if you went back to when he signed on, nobody would have predicted (or if they did, folks would have asked what they were smoking). It is most assuredly people's expectations that were inflated.

I would not say he's overrated. I'd say he's been a pleasant surprise.

His brother was 5-6 from behind the arc in pitts last game. DOH!

After a hot start, Champaigne has cooled off tremendously. The 15 foot jumper was falling early in the season but hes been ice cold with it recently.

Id get the Duke of Earlington in there with the starters and bring penny off the bench.

He’s a freshman and this is Big East play. It will take time for him to adjust and make a mark. He was actually underrecruited out of HS and has done well. Last couple of games he hasn’t played amazingly well, but that’s to be expected for a freshman. Overrated? Not even close. Lots of people didn’t think he would play at this level. He’s doing fine and I expect him to keep getting better.

Anybody heard of the freshmen wall? Seems to have hit it. He’ll be just fine. Definitely not overrated.

Agree with most of the above. He has been great, maybe slumping a bit because of the Div1 workload and may need to adjust. I think he will be a very good player here for us. And, I mean this year... Would not be against having him come off the bench either if that would help him.

Anybody remember how bad Lavin Postell looked/shot his freshman season? He was a top 45 or so recruit if I remember correctly. Champagnie wasn’t ranked anywhere near top 100. Overrated.
