They beat my alma mater by 64! Don't read much into that. Curry's a D3 team, that had won a total of 3 games, the last 4 years (though, they did make it 4 wins in the next game, so there's that).

New Hampshire is a veteran team but certainly not one we can’t beat relatively easily at home. This will be good practice for Vermont with both in the America East. Really hoping we win this and can get a good crowd for the Vermont game which should be our first challenge.

In their game versus Holy Cross they played only 7 and four starters played 35 plus minutes. Will be interesting to see if we can wear down a team that is undermanned as it is one of the tenets of the 40 minutes of hell philosophy.

SJU press release

New Hampshire comes to Queens with a record of 2-0, having slipped by Holy Cross at home, 87-83, on Saturday after dominating Division III Curry College, 93-29, in its season opener at Tuesday.

Nick Guadarrama, a 6-foot-5 forward from Newington, Conn., tallied game-highs of 28 points and 13 rebounds to lift UNH past Holy Cross. As a freshman last season, he averaged 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 26 appearances, 11 of which were starts.

Junior guard Josh Hopkins is the team’s top returning scorer from a year ago, averaging 9.1 points per game as a sophomore. The Greensboro, N.C., native posted 15 points in the win over Holy Cross on Saturday.

St. John’s and New Hampshire will meet for the first time in the history of the two programs when they take the floor on Tuesday night.

After this game it gets real in a hurry. Team can't look past this one - they will need the W to keep the Coach A no-losing-seasons streak alive.

The good news is this is not a coach or staff that lets teams overlook opponents or show up without energy. Which is probably a contributing factor to his record.

They have a very good freshman guard from Montreal in their program who played for the same AAU program as my son plays for. However I have not seen him appear in either box score. A little strange as the kid is a very good scorer but tends to dominate the ball. We will see if he plays tomorrow.

I came to the states for a long weekend. Landed just as the final whistle blew in Saturday and take off today just as we tip-off. Wasn’t meant for me to watch SJU.

Haven't seen a line yet, but 91.4% chance of victory, according to BPI, so better chance then Iowa had last night.
