I wish SJU was involved this year.

Gotta sit out twice in an 8 year span. This is year 5, and we hadn't done it yet. It was inevitable.

NC, what makes it more interesting is how intriguing our team is. I really want to see how we play against better competition.

Agree Sjc88. Next 4 games should tell us a lot. NH a slight uptick in competition from what we've faced so far and Vermont should be a good test followed by Columbia at home and Arizona State on neutral court. Tend to assume Columbia is an easy game but they are coming off a 2 point loss to Wake in Winston Salem where they were in the game all the way so they may be a little stronger than they've been the last few years. It's fun to watch our guys this year for sure.

Yeah, I think Vermont and Arizona State are barometer games. Now keep in mind I am not getting carried away as I am skeptical but I think beating what others indicate is a solid Vermont team and at least being in the game (whatever that looks like) against Arizona State will go a long way to giving us some hope for a competitive season.
Exactly why I think it’s too bad this is the year we can’t compete in the Big East/Big Ten challenge. The tougher the challenge, the better.

Zach B
Source: Seton Hall’s Myles Powell did some light shooting today. Looks much improved from Saturday. Returning against Saint Louis Sunday seems possible.

If early season returns tells anything (which I always say "be extremely wary of early season games"), then I think we should beat Vermont.

I think Heron and Figueroa should be enough (if we have Dunn, then my confidence will go up another notch) with the supporting cast to create just enough havoc to derail Vermont. Not to mention, Vermont has been awful from behind the arc in their first two games (albeit, they still won both games), as they're shooting slightly above 15% (7-45). Honestly, IMO, if those type of numbers persist this weekend, then they may find themselves in big trouble.

Well, we still have tonight's game to play, and looking forward to a similar or better outing as we witnessed in our first two games.
