Mike Z , good post . A team never has too many 3 point shooters... We have 2 guys who can make them but , I wouldn’t call Figgy or Heron the type of Player who can routinely nail 3, 4 or 5 per game ... While he was often criticized last year , Trimble was capable of hitting the open 3 with some frequency and in several games over his 2 years actually was the difference in winning a couple . Yes, he wasn’t quick or the type of player that many Coaches would favor but , he was often guarding much bigger players in the post and gave a good effort . I realize he isn’t the type player that Anderson wants but , his shooting potential could have been valuable in situations this season . Too bad , he wasn’t talked into returning . He might have helped the abysmal shooting in many games . I also believe , unless it’s Player decision to not return , the School and its Coaches owe some loyalty to a kid who committed to St John’s as a incoming freshman as Trimble did . I’m sure many here may disagree but , that’s my opinion .

Trimble was a good kid, team player, forced into tough duty guarding bigs. But his supposed MO of being a dead-eye 3-point shooter he was not. Made 1 or 2, but certainly not with any "frequency."

Trimble took 156 threes over two years and shot just over 32%. Not great by any means, but he'd be third best three point shooter on this year's team. Having said that, I liked Trimble but I believe it was best for him to transfer when he did. Wish him well next year.

You are welcomed to initiate a study but I suggest you first read something very basic before you do.

Thanks for the article. Is it okay if I share it with my orthopedist instead of my shrink colleagues?

He is sitting out this year with Akron in the Mid American conference. Akron is 13-3 and 3-0 in conference. Noticed that 3 of their 4 leading scorers are seniors so Trimble should get plenty of minutes next year.

Good timing, another chance to take down a ranked team at MSG this weekend
