Is it me or does Mustapha look like has taken off a few pounds (opposite of my impression of picture of LJ posted yesterday at his games)?

Definitely has it appears. Bet that really helps with his quickness.

The first time I saw Heron with the ball in his hands at CA he took it strong to the hole with power, explosiveness, and under control, banking in a short jumper. Based on that one first move I thought he was heads and tails above nearly everyone, and thought he was going to be an incredible addition. Then he lost his way, and confidence, and never really asserted himself. This year will be different I believe.

Per John Fanta
Mustapha Heron just looks like a different player at Pan Am Training Camp. Has a fresh energy, and the shots are falling. @NYPost_Brazille wrote about it this morning as well. As he goes, @StJohnsBBall will go, and Heron’s really embracing that. #SJUBB

Thought same after seeing him at a Rutgers. Scored 27 (?) effortlessly. At that point, I thought he might be better than Ponds. But, as you say, seemed to lose his way. Lot of drives into traffic.

I'm a bit confused, he's on Team USA? The same Team USA that the top pros play on every 4 years for the Olympics? That doesn't sound right, unless the team has a bunch of reserves that don't end up playing. No disrespect to Heron obviously as I wouldn't expect any college player to be on that team.
