Funny.
Saw RR from a run through the practice pics earlier and wondered 'who' he was.
Seems like 1 more solid / professional addition to our Staff.
Things are looking good.

Interesting comments on Steere. Sounds like MA is going to really want these guys in top physical condition. Not surprised by that. Guys just better not slack off in the summer. In my experience Mr. Steere was just given a not so subtle hint. :(

Not only does he say the right things but more importantly he backs it up by doing the right thing.
He is on campus with his staff and holding workouts while hosting visitors and recruiting. What a welcome relief from the prior staff who were 3,000 miles away as soon as school ended. I am no fortune teller but all this hard work has to pay dividends.

Someone who I know who is on campus a lot said the same thing as you. He used to say he was on Campus more than previous senior staff and he said he has seen CMA more this year than last senior staff all of last summer

While I am 100% sure this is the case at some point I hope we can move past this and remember Mullin the player. Because without him, I am not sure we have very much traffic on this website.

Those who actually saw him play will certainly remember but as I stated on the day he was announced his coaching record would be imbedded in St. John's basketball history. It's really a shame for all involved in the decision. He left with the worst Big East record in conference history for a St. John's coach (.27). Even Norm Roberts won .31% of his Big East. By contrast one the most criticized coachs in 25 years, Steve Lavin, won .57%. I don't know about web traffic here but never has a coach who accomplished so little gotten so much credit. Those that can't or couldn't separate the player from the coach are denying reality.
All characters and events depicted in this post are entirely fictitious. Any similarity to actual events or persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

What's the point? I don't disagree with the need for a coaching change, but Mullin wasn't the worst and to compare him to Roberts is nuts. Mullin made the dance 1 out of 4 years and might well made it twice but for Lovett's injury/quit. Let's move on and try to take the high road for once.

Regardless of record Mullin wasn't worse than Norm for reason you stated. Norm wouldn't have gotten us to an NCAA If we was still coach now. He was god awful

In the real world does it really matter whether Mullin was a better coach than Norm ?
Lets look forward, not backward.

You guys can argue this until the year gimel. Not going to defend Norm but his Big East was a different Beast.
Syracuse, Louisville, Pitt, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Villanova, West Virginia etc

Frankly I don’t give a lick about it but both were our coaches and the records are what they are. I stopped worshiping idols after watching the Ten Commandments.

Nice to read the off season tidbits without the obsession over Mullin the coach.
