Not that this is the goal by any means, but tonight did clinch an overall winning season for St. John's.

Again, not the goal, but you need to do that, before you can clinch anything else (assuming you wouldn't go on a huge BET run, with a losing record)!

Biggest win of the year
To take down the #10 team on the road and to sweep them as well
SWEEEEEEEET!!!!!
Or, as Bill Raftery would say, "ONIONS"!!!!!

Great use of time out near the end by Coach to run a play and put us back up in the lead. Can’t stress enough the importance of not burning time outs and keeping one for the very end as we did tonight. Coach seemed spent as he was walking through the hand shake line. No doubt he cares like hell.
Wonderful to see Simon bounce back with a great performance after four consecutive clunkers. Hope his migraines are a thing of the past. He was so under control.
Constant but slow improvement from Keita. I thought we were getting much more than we have got to date but glad to see him in the box score every game other than in the foul column.
We beat the number 10 team in the country on the road after travelling for days straight with 3 starters having sub par games. Imagine how good we could be if everyone played up to their potential.
On to Providence.

As Ray Morgan pointed out ,to win this game on the tenth best team in the country's court while shooting so bad from three shows how far this team has come.

Awesome, gritty, gutsy win at the most critical point of the season!
A loss today would've put a big hurt on our chances for a decent regular-season conference standing. Georgetown and Creighton would've been tied for 3rd and we'd be lumped with the Hall, DePaul, and Butler--four teams 'tied' for '4th' place.
This win proved we could prevail in a very tough place to play on the road!
We must beat Providence on Saturday--no slipping now!
Then take revenge on Butler next Tuesday. to set up a mighty win over Nova at the Garden on Feb. 17th.
Let's do it.
