He's an unskilled athlete that was allowed to do whatever he wanted for an awful team lag year. Guys like that will always out up great stats. When more talent arrived he has refused to accept his obvious role of PF. You never see players like that at Nova.

One of three things will happen: he transfers, he continues to not acknowledge his strengths and weaknesses which leads to Mullin firing, or he and/or get him to accept a combo forward role.

Yeah he could be out starting center since we dont have a center to begin with.
I say next year it's bench or good bye.

Counter me if you want but that's how i feel.

I'm not going to counter how you feel. But I think we need him next season. Unfortunately for him and the team, we need him at PF. And he's not going to go for that.

Keita will never give us anything. And if you notice, people who've seen practice tell us that they are impressed with Wright, but there's never a peep about Caraher. The staff somehow can't find any real minutes for Roberts or Earlington. Unless Precious comes aboard, I'm not sure who starts over Simon.

Starters right now are Mack, Wright, Figgy, Steere, and ? So in my mind that ? needs to be Simon.

The fact that Shamorie and Heron are out is crazy. Dude's are not getting drafted.

Lol. I can’t believe this post exists. If mullin gets fired it’s because of a whole lot more than ONE player not buying into his role. The idea that it is Justin Simon’s fault if Mullin gets fired is ridiculous

And-

Wait never mind you’re just being a goofball. Carry on

Simon could be a monster here if he understood his abilities. That's what makes this sonfirstrsting. See my comments on Dom Pointer needing to play 4/5 for three years prior to his breakout senior year.

I hate players standing flat-footed on the perimeter, but a guy who can't shoot or dribble out there?! Wtf!!!! How many gorgeous Ponds drive and kicks go to Simon completely wasted? Why is he giving a false target to Ponds when he can't do anything with it? It's such a lazy mindset and it kills your team. Neither Simon or Pointer move an inch when the ball is shot. Postell, who could shoot, crashed glass from the perimeter with reckless abandon.

Unfortunately for us and potentially them, it's not even remotely close to the craziest decisions kids have made regarding eligibility.

If being a 6-foot guard is the biggest obstacle Ponds has to overcome to get drafted, then he might as well go after this year.

That problem is still going to be there after next year, and he's clearly worked on everything else.

Have you ever played or coached, Jack? Didn't think so. Sit down and shut up.

I'm not saying it's Simon's fault if Mullin gets fired. I'm saying he can't win consistently relying on such an unskilled player in a perimeter role. Mullin is the coach at the end of the day...not Simon.
There is a series "The Season" on espn that follows Jarvis and the 2002-2003 team that is on YouTube. I recommend you watch it. During one postgame loss Jarvis said only Hatten, Shaw, and Emanuel were allowed to shoot threes the rest of the season as asked if anyone felt differently. Eric King said he should shoot threes and Jarvis said "I don't. Not if we want to win."

L J S A wrote: Anyone clamoring for Simon to be on the bench might as well just say "I hope he transfers without penalty for his last season," because they are essentially the same thing. There are a ton of Cali schools that will let him start at guard.

Not sure where he fits in next season with Steere on board, but I think Simon should be our starting center for rest of year and staff should tell him not to venture beyond 8 feet in the half court game.

If he does not accept a combo forward role then transferring would be best. I'll take my chances on Williams-Wright-Figueroa-Trimble-Caraher-Heron.

I can't see how a soph Williams or a junior Wright would be any worse.

First of all I have played ball, my whole life just not in college. And even if I didn’t, what’s the point of mentioning that?

Does someone not playing or coaching make them unable to comment on a team or a player or a coach?

Am I not allowed to quote and respond to a boneheaded post where you say “he can continue to not acknowledge his strength and weaknesses which leads to mullin’s firing” ??

Love to you see you back track and try to clumsily explain your horribly worded original post.

Not gonna watch whatever video you are referring, but cool story man
