Cannot take DePaul lightly, but some home cooking is in order. Big SJU crowd, should be very loud, and the type of enthusiasm and volume that was present at the Marquette game gives our guys a 6th man.

Johnnies should hold serve at CA, especially since DP turns ball over a lot. Hopefully the quick hands of SJU will disrupt them and lead to some easy buckets.

I can see us winning 80-68. DePaul much improved but still should be a double digit win.

They whipped us last year at CA so we should not take them lightly.

Big team up and down rotation. They run physical offense compressed to basket and look to beat you up on the interior. Reminds me of some of Cooley's Providence teams a few years back where they were big particularly 2-5 and tried to just wear you down running condensed flex for the better part of 40 minutes.

Apologies for the repetition, but for a physical team like this that wants to play at rim and does so effectively (56% from 2 as a team) and shoots the 3 so poorly (31%) the game is screaming for zone for meaningful stretches.

Was happy to see more of Trimble last night and think he's important in this game. He checked someone out into the stands (literally) at a key moment in the 2nd half to wrap up a defensive possession, had multiple above the rim rebounds in traffic, and after Ponds/Figgy might have the 3rd highest basketball IQ on the team. If he tosses in a few 3s in friendly confines of CA he can give us the 20+ productive minutes we desperately need right now.

I feel like this is a little much. Improved or not this is still DePaul and shouldn't be a problem at home coming off a loss.

They aren't bad and that is about as far as it goes. This should be a comfortable win coming off a disappointing loss.

His basketball IQ was definitely questionable when he fouled the guy down 3 with 10 seconds left left as the shot clock was expiring.
