Then the next issue will be seeding. They will get a weak seed though unless they can have a blowout conference season, 13/14 wins.

That is where those Sagarin, BPI and RPI numbers will hurt them.

How is a comparison to 99-00 silly? That team lost to Stamford and Depaul in a similar OOC slate as this year--with a late game v. Duke. They played only seven guys and had only eight scholarship players...the 8th being Heath freaking Orvis. After that it was walkons. The starting center was a 6'4 freshman and the only guy above a realistic 6'6 was a sophomore Donald Emanuel. And it was arguably the weakest year for the conference this century, only 5 bids, nobody got past the Sweet 16, and only two teams were ranked in the top 25 for several weeks before the tournament.

This team is actually bigger and, believe it or not, deeper. 12-0 looks like a foregone conclusion at this point. Who is to say they can't go 12-6 in conference and then make a run in the tournament?

Realizing now everyone’s gripes about the schedule. Very happy with the season thus far but we have 3 power 5 victories against arguably the 3 worst Power 5 teams. That can’t be argued at this point but a strong BE campaign will have them in great position mid-March.

For anyone who wants to see the full NET numbers, such as average level of opponents, Quad 1 wins, etc:

extra.ncaa.org/solutions/rpi/_layouts/15....xlsx&action=default

We moved up one spot to #32 (as I predicted, Pitt would lose and move down).

Currently we have 1 Q1 win and 2 Q2 wins.

We've moved up to Quad 1 (#29)!

As I said in the OP, eating up cupcakes doesn't seem to negatively impact the rankings like it did for RPI. :)

Per Brandom Tierney
#Johnnies jump 3 spots from 32 to 29 in updated #NET rankings following last night's 14 point win. Inconsistencies aside, soft scheduling not penalizing #SJUBB as they've won 3 x's on neutral site, are 1-1 on the road and have four wins by 14 points or more.

Math adding up.

Updated #SJUBB resume as of 12/6

- WINS -

Quadrant 1:
(A) Rutgers

Quadrant 2:
(N) VCU
(N) Georgia Tech

Quadrant 4:
(N) California
(H) Bowling Green
(H) Loyola Maryland
(H) UMES
(H) Mount St. Mary’s

- LOSSES - 0

About time somebody said it. With VCU win over Texas we should have three top 100 wins already ( all on the road or a neutral site).

Rank SJU you cowards.

Duke was our only KenPom projected pre-season top 100 game (aside from Temple, who we didn't even play). As of today (NET):
#3 Duke (away)
#68 VCU (neutral)
#70 Rutgers (away)
#85 Georgia Tech (neutral)

What a lot of the AP doesn't realize is that ALL 3 of the biggest teams we beat have played significantly above expectations. That absolutely changes the narrative regarding our SOS. I agree, time to rank us. Our resume is great and the NET agrees.

Even if Rutgers and Georgia Tech take beatings once conference season comes around, the ACC and the Big 10 both appear to be very strong leagues this year, so their rankings can only fall so far.

They may fall out of the top 100, but I doubt they fall below 200.

Very true. Last night's win dropped STJ 30 spots in the RPI per Realtime RPI. On the plus side in the RPI VCU is now top 50, not that any of this matters.

SJU moves up from #32 to #30 after yesterday's 10+ point home win vs #297 Princeton.

Once again, we are not being penalized for beating mediocre teams.

This is huge in regards to our schedule.
