Not in those days or in any of the Lapchick or Carnesecca days! Might have been some ups and downs but in the end only great memories.

Agree about the great memories. Just wish some of those great memories were more plentiful in recent years.

My first game was when I was in SJP in the early 60's. It was a Holiday Festival double header on December 26th. I think we played LaSalle.

I left The Garden hooked for life (I think Sonny Dove and Kenny Mc were on the team. - Admission was fifty cents with my G.O. card).

Ugh. Can't remember back that far. Dad started us early. David Russel's freshman year is the first I can remember and it was the Lapchick Tournament. Looking online it must have been 1979. I can't remember if I got to go to any games before that, though I know he had tickets since he graduated in '65. The first one i vividly remember is the '85 OT win vs. 'Cuse in the Garden.

I was a kid and went with my big brother. St. Francis/SJU at Alumni Hall. I'd guess it was very late '60's. Mel Davis was SJU star at the time. SJU crushed the Terriers. It was very cold. Wish I knew the exact year.

February 27, 1983 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. 71-70 OT Villanova victory on buzzer shot by John Pinone. Mullin had just broken a 69-69 tie by making the first of two free throws. Granger took the ball up and passed to Pinone. Louie v Rollie. Mullin had 24 that game.
