# 10 Greg Williams, St. John’s

Guard | 6-foot-3 | 190 lbs | No. 154 overall

One of two players in the 2018 recruiting class for St. John’s, Greg Williams could make an immediate impact on the program. Even though the Red Storm are returning a ton of talent from last year and are bringing in some transfers, the roster still lacks depth. After the top four or five players, there is a lot of unproven talent and therefore plenty of available minutes off the bench. Regardless of whether or not Mustapha Heron receives his waiver to play this season, Williams could receive a substantial role as a reserve at either guard position.

Ranked just outside of the nation’s top-150 for the class, Williams brings a varied skill set. A capable scorer, playmaker, and defender with solid size and length, he can play positions 1-through-3. In addition, he is an excellent rebounder for his size, which helps him create transition opportunities out of thin air off of missed shots. He can push the pace of games and sees the floor well in the fast break.

"One of two players in the 2018 recruiting class for St. John’s"

Did we lose some kids along the way?

He probably meant incoming freshmen
But even then he is wrong
Some writers just can't count
Different side of the brain

The article the blurb was taken from is entitled "Big East Basketball: Top 10 incoming impact freshmen for 2018-19" so in that sense it is a two man class.

But we have three incoming freshman recruits - Williams, Roberts & Earlington.

I think the key word is 'impact': 'Top Ten Incoming Impact Freshmen...'.
Well, I hope, it makes Marcellus angry and he busts out.

ATTENTION:

Major updates were made to the servers / software hosting redmen.com. There was also one significant change to the website this week to address keeping up with current standards and practices.

It has now become standard practice for all websites to be served as https (as opposed to the original http).

A couple of years ago I enabled https on the site as optional but as of today, the site is forcing https. Any link coming into the site should be automatically converted on the fly and you should not have to do anything on your end.

However if you do notice recent problems, please contact me directly via email: webmaster@redmen.com or via private message on the site.

Also if you have forgotten your username and/or password here are two links to address that (the links only work if you are not currently logged in):
