Thank you Bobo. A great kid and representative of the university. Unfortunately like many other players he was a 3 star recruit who was maligned for not performing like a 4 star recruit. I wish him all the very best and hope he can achieve his life long dream.

Best of luck to Phil. All you can ask for in basketball (or life) is a shot. Sounds like he will get one with Dallas. I hope he makes it.

Just saw where Phil started in the backcourt with Jalen Brunson in tonight's Mavericks summer league game. As of the end of the 3rd quarter, he had 14 points in 16 minutes played, including 4 of 7 from three. Good for him!

One of my favorite Johnnies. Hard-working, even-keeled kid, who made himself better, and a great teammate. Hope he catches a break.

A good showing in the NBA summer league elevates his value overseas. Best of luck to him!

Finished the game with 16 pts (team high), 25 minutes played (team high), 6 rebounds and in typical Phil fashion, only 1 turnover. Got to think he may get an invite to Mavs training camp, if nothing else.

I was fortunate enough to sit right under our basket at the Carrier Dome when we played Cuse in 2014-2015 (My senior year at SJU). One of my best St John's Basketball experiences ever. Watching PGIV nail those dagger 3s (20 ft. away from me max) to silence the Orange crowd in the final moments of the game. Really blossomed into his own. I wish him the best.

It’s funny about him. Got a lot of criticism his first 2 years. But, really turned into a solid player. Was more valuable to us than the much higher rated Branch. He is the type of 4 year player that teams need.

I was one of those critics, especially when he was forced to play the point, which looked like anything but a natural fit for him. (He used to drive me crazy with his side-to-side, time-eating dribbles which often resulted in forced shots to beat the clock.) However, I always liked his attitude and hard play, and it was very easy to root for him as he developed over this third and fourth years. So much so that he grew into being one of my all-time favorites. (And yes, that performance at the Dome was something we'll never forget.). A class act, and I wish him nothing but the best.
