Watched workout yesterday and had the opportunity to speak with LJ who sat next to me. He is very happy to be playing close to his family in Massachusetts. They have not had an opportunity to see him play since he moved to Florida almost five years ago. Said that he missed his Mom's home cooking and she will be delivering meals to him in Queens. He is very excited to be one of the players that will impact a resurgence in St. Johns basketball.

He is a well spoken young man and let's all wish him success during his career here at St. Johns.

He was practicing yesterday I believe. Him, Simon and Caraher were together.

Thanks for the insight Panther2. One thing is certain. We will have lots of exciting new talent on the floor this season. Really looking forward to November!

Whew! Figgy not being on campus was worrying me.
Don’t know why the delay, but very happy he’s in the fold!
I think he’ll surprise a lot of people with his impact.
Another very athletic and skilled wing to hopefully team up with Heron and Simon.
And very happy he’s a good kid.

Thank God Figgy didn’t consider UCONN—or UMASS or BC—but definitely not UCONN.

Whew! Thanks SJU61982. I was beginning to mutter in my vino.
IMO, Figgy, with Heron, Ponds, Simon, Dixon, Williams, Trimble gives us a gaggle of talented / v. talented guards / wings for 2018-19.
As NCJohnnie says "can't wait until November."
Let's go Johnnies.

It has now become standard practice for all websites to be served as https (as opposed to the original http).

A couple of years ago I enabled https on the site as optional but as of today, the site is forcing https. Any link coming into the site should be automatically converted on the fly and you should not have to do anything on your end.
