Kevin McNamara

Cooley says Nate Watson is still a ways away from practicing, Greg Gantt is getting close and Luwane Pipkins is good to go for Tuesday’s opener #pcbb

Zach did a nice job with that piece. Looking forward to watching Hall this year.

As much as I want to destroy them, there's no denying that Seton Hall living up to their potential this year would be great for the conference, It helps defeat the tired "Big East is nothing without Villanova" argument fans from other conferences hit us with. Xavier and Nova both being #1 seeds a couple of years ago was great, Looks like Hall, Nova and Xavier all have potential to be high seeds in March. Personally, Xavier is my sneaky pick to win the league but I understand that I'm probably in the minority there. League will be extremely tough this year. Need LJ and Heron to both stay healthy to compete.

Like Willard or not, he has built a program at SHU (sorry, couldn’t resist Dinkins). As for Powell, I have known him a bit since HS, always an impressive young man, the type of person you hope you get the opportunity to know better. Worked hard upon coming to the Hall and wish him nothing but success on and off the court. He has earned everything in front of him, athletically and in “real life”, the right way, hard work.

Karim Mane is the number 1 player in Canada for 2020. At times I have seen him on certain lists as a low first round draft pick. He is big at 6 5 for a pg and is a super athlete. Marquette and Georgetown are in his top 10 finalists.

Given our proximity and history, I've always hated SH (albeit a softcore hate). But I think the world of Powell. As you put it, he has earned everything ... the right way, hard work. He's great to watch and I wish him nothing but the best. As as far as his coach and teammates go, that's antoher story.
