Torres is playing a position that he played less than 15 minor games at before he got to the majors. He has the instincts, with good hands. The more repetition he gets, the better he will get. He will figure it out

Offensively I wonder if Sanchez is trying to hit a home fun every time up, buying into the hype. He got off to a slow start last year and he picked it up which I thought he would have done by now. I agree it’s in his head and hopefully he will rebound.

Hopefully Gray has turned a corner and we see the good on the road Gray home and away for the rest of the season. Could be a head thing with him at home worrying about the fences.

his defensive strength is chasing down balls that normally would drop in front of a center fielder. he covers ground. goes back well. has speed.

Has speed?

Once again we saw the bad at home Gray last night. Has to be psychological with him. But whatever the reason, I’d be OK with him not pitching at home again. His at home ERA before the game last night was 7.22. That only went up after his performance.

what a start/star. 5 innings. no runs. loaisiga.
did the yanks find their 4th playoff starter?
in the 2nd inning he threw 97 mph for 5 straight pitches. the next pitch was a mere 96 mph.

bravo to the 2nd best bullpen in baseball since 21 april.

His control with the fast ball was impressive. When missing he was just off the plate. Looks like a promising find.

Maybe. Just maybe, the Yanks aren't in as much dire need of a pitcher as many of us thought. I would like that.

back to back & belly to belly. getty goners & ballantine blasts are the norm.

sevy for half way mark yankee mvp.

the yanks today will probaby have scored more "points" than any team in that "football" tourney.

Kid looked impressive last night, but it was TB. Lets see the kids doing that vs. Seattle.
Not saying a shutout by say 2 runs in 6 innings, He's up from the minors so you know there's a pitch count on him.
Maybe 5innings.
Sev is now 10-2 in June 16th, 13 wins by the all-star break? 22-24 wins this year?
It's crazy how deGrom with an ERA under 2 only just 4-2, yeah I know, no hitting.

I can't get used to seeing the guys that I was watching when in my teens and 20s, in the old timers game.
Just a weird feeling, Yeah, I'm getting up there in age.

Nick Swisher goes yard in the Old Timer's game. Still a fan favorite. A big kid.
