I know that Lavin had his detractors here but at least he did not cave to the sleazy Whitehead stuff

Whitehead (in the 11th hour)
Briscoe (in the 11th hour)
Alkins
Herron
Little
Boozer

The real reason we lost out on these guys, often times as the bridesmaid, was because SJU doesn't pay the housing stipend anymore. There have been several articles written over the years that have stated that was #1 reason. Give me a break pundits. (Insert rolling eyes here).

Jarvis was right about one thing the NCAA IS A JOKE. St.John's gets scholarship reductions, vacates 80 wins and 2003 NIT Championship for giving what was deemed Humanitarian relief to 1-point-per-game specialist Abe Keita, and this crap is going on for 25 years. What a joke.

What will they do? Cancel the 2019 tournament? Maybe Queens College can play Malloy for the championship next season.

Well at least this helps explain why our program has stunk for close to 20 years. Not that I’m absolving Lavin of any blame

BTT
Same w Chris Mullin
I doubt he’d ever follow slick Pitino’s path to win at all cost and ultimately face demise
All the best

Of this newest list I wonder how much of it actually indicts the schools since I assume these "loans" are based upon the players getting a professional contract.

ATTENTION:

Major updates were made to the servers / software hosting redmen.com. There was also one significant change to the website this week to address keeping up with current standards and practices.

It has now become standard practice for all websites to be served as https (as opposed to the original http).

A couple of years ago I enabled https on the site as optional but as of today, the site is forcing https. Any link coming into the site should be automatically converted on the fly and you should not have to do anything on your end.

However if you do notice recent problems, please contact me directly via email: webmaster@redmen.com or via private message on the site.

Also if you have forgotten your username and/or password here are two links to address that (the links only work if you are not currently logged in):
