He was a starter at UMass, he's not coming here to share minutes or be a back-up.

He'd be a starter here too. But refusing to be part of sharing 80 minutes among three guys, especially if the starting PF would also get some SF minutes, is shortsighted. But I guess it's easier to look at the big picture when you are only a fan, and not in your early 20s.

what makes you think he'd start over Keita? The UMass guy is huge and not the kind of run the court type of player that would fit in with this team. They're not going to retool the offense for him, even in the half court.

Keita averaged 1.1 ppg and 2 rpg. I'm glad he's here, but I suspect a lot of the available grad transfers would start over him. I think a lot of posters here are expecting too much from him. And no one said anything about retooling the offense for anyone. If we have numbers we attack. If not, hold back for three whole seconds until the center got in position.

I'm not expecting anything from Sedee on the offensive end except to set picks, get offensive rebounds and maybe get a few buckets here and there. I'm looking for him to impact on the defensive end.

No transfer/juco big is coming here to be the fifth wheel on the offensive end, hence the reference to retooling the offense.

N.C State playing transfer game well. Very tough for State to compete with the two bluebloods, but I believe Keating is going to do a very good job there.

I forgot that NC State also got Big Transfer Wyatt Walker of Samford. Was hoping here, but never in the cards. Seems solid.

Nice pic of a guy (Tariq) I’ve got mixed feelings about.
IF we get a Grad Big, it’s a ‘win’ for us. If not, his defection weakens our BE-ready depth.
I wish him success but am disappointed in his decision.
But life goes on.

Chicago, the way I look at it, he gave us two very good years with always 100% effort at a time we needed any help we could get, did the schoolwork and graduated. I personally wish him the best.

ATTENTION:

Major updates were made to the servers / software hosting redmen.com. There was also one significant change to the website this week to address keeping up with current standards and practices.

It has now become standard practice for all websites to be served as https (as opposed to the original http).

A couple of years ago I enabled https on the site as optional but as of today, the site is forcing https. Any link coming into the site should be automatically converted on the fly and you should not have to do anything on your end.

However if you do notice recent problems, please contact me directly via email: webmaster@redmen.com or via private message on the site.

Also if you have forgotten your username and/or password here are two links to address that (the links only work if you are not currently logged in):
