We must keep up our intense recruiting efforts. Seton Hall, Rutgers, UConn, Syracuse, Nova, G*Town, and Providence are very attractive alternatives.

Could have included St. John's in this article as we are in the same boat. Like to see us climb on to that big yacht in the near future i.e.. Ingiehon and the like.

With the out of conference schedule winding down, another very strong performance for the Big East this year, which is obviously great news. RealTimeRPI has us as the #2 ranked conference for RPI, behind the SEC and ahead of the Big 12. This of course will help us in the long run.

I dunno about you guys, but I've enjoyed watching and rooting for the Big East during the out of conference schedule the past few years. Almost like we have a chip on our shoulder and must continue to prove we belong with the big boys.

The conference has a chance for some good wins today. Butler vs Purdue, Georgetown vs Syracuse, and Northwestern vs Depaul.

Georgetown looks pretty good to me against Syracuse, soft OOC schedule or not! No easy games in the Big East this year.

Rutgers just beat Seton Hall. Rutgers low key is 10-3 with a top 15 win.

Impressive job by Pickell.

Rutgers in front of a packed raucous crowd at the RAC closed out the game on a 17 to 2 run over the final six minutes to upset Seton Hall 71 to 65

Georgetown very disciplined team so far, move and share the ball nicely. Also some good shooters both inside and out.

I said it at the time. Pikell was as close to a "sure thing" hire that Rutgers could reasonably get.

Re: your earlier Georgetown post. Even if they lose (and the Cuse are starting to come back), they've discovered the formula to win in the BE. That is to ugly the game up as much as possible. They won't rise to the level of the top teams in the BE, so they are going to have to bring them down to their level. So far today, they've done a great job of that (Syracuse is not that good, BTW).

Syracuse can't make a shot here. Brissett just blew an open dunk.
