I think this shows why we should ease up on the restlessness a bit -- or at least the anger and insults.

Even our well-informed posters didn't seem to know the depth of the recruitment. Staff really keeps a remarkably tight lid on things, and we've recruited kids who apparently don't like to blab much either. Makes for deafening radio silence. Radio silence in the past here meant trouble, but this staff seems to be a different animal.

very well said. That being said I still want a big and I demand to know who they are talking to :)

Nick pick-up. ESPN has him at the #40 SG, and 4-star prospect.

Pleasantly surprised...I repeat, Zaun is pleasantly surprised with this one. Nice job by staff quietly nabbing him. I love big guards and we saw how even if they have down games, they can still make a big impact defensively like Simon, Heron, etc. Matchup nightmare if he's paired with a 6'0 guard. We remember what Simon did to the 5'11 Howard. Just too big and athletic for him. I saw Pinzon as a 3 star, not sure where he's a 4...but he appears to be the type good programs get and by the time he's a JR/SR becomes a rock solid contributor if not impact player. Seems to have soft touch, just need to practice his shot and has plenty of time. Agree with MJ though, let's go get a real big next.

I watched some highlight when he is playing on u17 Puerto Rico team. Very quick and aggressive attacking the basket. Nice pickup.

Gotta give credit where it’s due. Good pickup by the staff. I like this kid’s game a lot. More of a heady player than Riley imo. Takes the sting out of that one.

Eric Bossi

A native of Puerto Rico who put up big numbers in the summer of 2019 playing for their U17 national team, Pinzon is a good sized two guard who should be a future starter in the Big East. He can shoot with range, puts the ball on the floor and is a plus athlete who has some creativity and toughness in his game.

The second member of St. John's 2021 recruiting class, Pinzon is currently ranked as a three-star prospect and plays his summer ball with the NY Jayhawks. He joins three-star forward Drissa Traore.

Another big plus here is the inroads we're making with PSA and LuHi...2 great local programs we almost always lose out to with the bigger names. Also, who knows, maybe some guys on the PR national teams take a look at us if he's successful here.

Stealth mode? I thought you were not particularly enamored with Mr. Pinson's game (possible i could be misremembering).
