Seems like the early gnashing of teeth over this year's recruiting class may have been a bit premature. :)

Wow. Impressive. Between Wusu and Cole looks like we'll be adding some much needed shooters for next season. It's still early but learning to trust this staff's instincts. Paultzman, do you know if Van Macon was also the lead recruiter on this one?

I don't want to have to keep saying that I was initially confused by his signing, but I feel the need to eat crow every time he has a game like this. Job well done by the staff.

Wusu is ranked #364 by 247sports.com.
Are these experts clueless or did he just blowup this year?
By the #s he's putting up he seems like a 5*, or atleast a high 4*.

Has a 3* ever and a year as a 5*? Not that it matters much, was just wondering.

LJSA I too am eating crow, and by the way loving it. I am thrilled to be wrong.
Tom I guess it is safe to say he won’t end the year at 364. While he won’t end up being a 5 star recruit and possibly not even 4 star I would be shocked if he doesn’t crack the top 200.
So we have 2 kids that stand a good chance of being juco AAs and two kids that could be a high ranking 4 star and 3 star. That is an excellent first class IMHO. It certainly exceeded my expectations.

I’ve watched more than 10 full OSL games on youtube since he committed. I’ve been very pleased. He’s got the body to contribute right away and the game to develop into a BE starter. And if you think a guy can potentially start for you then he’s worth the scholarship.

Some positives- can shoot but not a knock down guy. Strong as hell. Knows how to play and has a good feel as a passer. Surprised me with how well he creates out of pick and rolls. Will be able to play some at both the 2-3 and as secondary ball handler.

Cons- not the most fluid athlete and lacks some explosion. Needs to work on his defensive awareness. Might struggle with real quick guys at next level. Would say closer to 6’2 than 6’4.

We only knew the answer to that question when Matt was recruiting a kid, because he felt compelled to let Zach and the rest of the world know it, and made sure Zach would write it.
