“He just took unofficial visits to Baylor and Houston, and next could be off to Miami for an official visit. Texas A&M is the program to watch as Buzz Williams has already hosted him twice, once in College Station and another earlier this year at Virginia Tech.”

Lots of offers being extended it seems. In some instances, before the player meets the coach apparently. Reminiscent of the beginning of the Mullin era. To those who know more than me, is it typical to make so many offers? Hope there is a game plan here.

1. I don't think there have been an exorbitant number of offers.
2. Would you prefer less offers? And when players don't come then you are behind the 8 ball?

It’s almost always the case.

Never hurts to offer as long as kid is talented enough. An offer may intrigue the player who then may express interest. Much better than to hear a kid say I was interested in SJU but they never offered me or never made any contact. Obviously with players you really want and think you have a reasonable chance with you make the move of more contact.

Coaches aren't allowed to make contact right now, right? I thought coaches offering players they've evaluated and liked during certain times in summer was the way it's always been done.
