Tough, but would not say that. We’ll see how much ground CMA has made up soon enough imo.

One thing to keep in mind is that UConn is in the running for several different guards. If they get one of them to commit before Richmond decides combined with them having two freshman guards in Gaffney & Bouknight who will demand significant playing time the odds could shift.

Brewster is nowhere near UConn and has no geographic pull. Trust me.

Agree UConn seems like the front runner at the moment but as Paultzman points out Anderson has done pretty well with him in a very short amount of time and like RedStorm80 says UConn already has their backcourt of the future in place and are still in on a few guys in the same tier as Richmond. Plus if Posh (fingers crossed) and Champagnie have a couple of months to help Coach recruit him who knows what can happen. Also Brewster can cut either way. Maybe it helps UConn that he's in New England but also maybe it just reminds a kid from Brooklyn that he misses NYC.

So that's me being positive but the Slater crystal ball does make me a little nervous. I only find value in those when there's an avalanche of them in one direction or when Slater makes a pick. He either has good info or good instincts. Fingers crossed.

The HC Smith has a solid relationship with Hurley apparently, to UConn’s advantage possibly. That said, perhaps the “family” philosophy CMA promotes is a positive on other side of ledger. UConn pursuing other quality guys playing same position as Kadary obviously helps potentially.

FWIW......two well informed posters on the UCONN board have Richmond choosing the Huskies.

Thanks, was not aware of that. Although I did notice him referring to TJ Cleveland as Anderson’s nephew on Twitter a couple of times which always struck me as rude. So that makes a little more sense now...

If it’s St. John’s and UConn going after a NYC recruit, would we rather him be in Brooklyn or Brewster? My only point.

I don’t think it matters. Brewster is a little prep school in the lakes region on NH. Zero Connecticut influence and not bad for some kids to get away for a while. Sometimes a break from Brooklyn isn’t a bad thing for these kids.
