And he isn’t particularly athletic either.

Reminded me of the fat UCONN guard of a few years ago

Defensive specialist, i think El-Amin

Khalid El-Amin........more than a defensive specialist. Really good facilitator and, despite his size, could get to the FT line.

I believe LJSA is thinking about Ricky Moore.

He was one year behind me at GW. Incredible player who led the A-10 in points, steals, and assists as a senior. He was also a very good rebounder as well as a pest of a defender.

You say "he was one year behind me at GW ". Does that mean you're the real Boo ?. Never knew that.

??? The real boo didn't go to GW???

Waaaay more than a defensive specialist. He actually was more known for his offense. He grabbed a ton of steals but was not a stalwart
Defender, that was Ricky Moore.

Hard to believe that he ended up playing professional basketball for 17 years. 1 year in the NBA, one in the G League, 15 in Europe.

Was at the game. Suspect that 5'11" for Mike Smith of Columbia is a generous measurement.

Ricky Moore wasn’t fat at all but was an excellent defensive player. El-Amin was pudgy and we used to chant “cheeseburger” at the games. El Amin wasn’t any sort of defensive specialist, although he got a lot of steals.
