I agree with the sentiment.... Good motor, decent vision and you can't teach wingspan. Needs to work on positioning on boards though. He's not gonna get to just reach over people on this level when he's out of position.

I'm going to miss that joke. It was a reliable one over the past few years.

My question was posed because I thought the staff was out recruiting.

They were, but the weekend is over.

Evaluation period is over. This week is recruiting period on campus or off. Next week begins quiet period until mid May dead period. Then more quiet until a few more June evaluation periods.

There's to many periods going on over the off season for coll bball.
If I didn't know any better, I'd think that there's multiple women on periods.

Scotland Campus Class of 2019 forward Chris Maidoh will visit St. John’s tomorrow, as Mike Anderson ushers in the new era with the first campus visit. A late-blossoming prospect who brings defensive versatility and a consistent outside shot and rim protection, Maidoh was a role player for the 36-2 Knights this season.
“It’s going to be a great experience to get a feel of how it is at that level,” said Maidoh.
“Playing in the Big East. Playing in New York and Madison Square Garden, it’s a big opportunity. They made the tournament this past year. I know that was the previous staff and everything, but it’s always good to see a winning program and for my first visit I’m looking forward to it.”

Kid looks athletic and moves really well for his size. If he commits, I will keep my expectations low for year one.

Shouldn't be a problem: we've been doing it for decades.

Shouldn't be a problem: I've been keeping them low seemingly forever.

Looks to have a feel for basketball which is often lacking in athletic big men. I don't expect much his first season on the offensive end but worth trying to develop. I hope we sign him.

Maidoh seems to have an excellent motor, can block shots, excellent outside shot, can put the ball in the hole from under the basket, and seems to have excellent b-ball IQ. I like what he said about potentially playing at SJU, the Big East, and at MSG. Hope we get him!

Given the late recruiting start Coach has gotten (through no fault of his own), I'd love to see us kick start the momentum by getting a commitment from this high potential kid today.
