Talk about a head scratcher. Two star out of HS, played 4 minutes in one game for Stephen Austin last year.

Yeah. But you can probably say that about half the kids on the Creighton, Butler, and, to a lesser extent, Xavier rosters that have kicked our butt the last three years

It had said he was a 3-star out of high school. Apparently had offers from Baylor, SMU amongst others. Looks quick and crafty. Good passer. I’m guessing staff doesn’t want to come out of this recruiting class without at least one true PG that can pass. I have no problem with it. He looks pretty good.

I just read an article from this time last year where he was projected to be newcomer of the year in Southland Conference. Yet he only played 4 minutes in one game and that was in a blowout, then he winds up in community college for this year. I suspect there's more than meets the eye with this one.

Could have been grades, who knows? He went juco instead of transferring to another D1 school. Maybe he wanted to play at higher level and keep eligibility? Kid has 3 years eligibility. Washington state just offered him and lots of schools seem to have jumped in with interest including Gonzaga, Texas Tech, OSU and others. I like the 3 years and immediate eligibility. It’s not
Much different than grabbing a HS freshman, except he has more experience.

Perhaps you're right MCNPA. I couldn't find any indication he was injured last year so maybe it was grades or he just wasn't ready as a freshman - SFA did have a very good year last year. I'm sure staff did their homework before offering.
