6'3" G Jaquan Sanders (Our Savior Lutheran)
Sanders is another quick and explosive guard. He played a big role for National Powerhouse "Our Savior Lutheran" last year. He will now be asked to be play a bigger role and be the leader for the club going into his last two years. Sanders is arguably the best shooter in New York for the Class of 2022. Sanders hold offers from Creighton, St. Johns, UMASS, Hofstra, and more.

The Class of 2022 guard has defied the limitations of COVID-19 this summer, finding his way to the gym and outdoor courts and showing a vastly improved all-around game.

Sanders' added muscle and crafty off the dribble scoring acumen has increased his profile on the collegiate market.

A ramped-up role as a defensively active guard and shot maker and shot creator have led to offers from St. John's, Seton Hall, UConn, Hofstra, Manhattan, LaSalle, Pittsburgh, Holy Cross, and several others

Wasn't crazy about his low shot but the more I watched him the more it just seems to works. Smooth and confident in his shot.

Also the word crafty came to mind when watching him. He's very crafty in the way he plays the game.

Hopefully we've got a bit of an in with Jaquan based on our recent recruits from his school.

Does everyone get five years of eligibility now, or is it just current players getting an extra year? I feel like if it's just current kids, many schools -- including us -- will find it hard to land any kids for 2022-23.

My understanding is that only players currently enrolled in college get the extra year of eligibility. The NCAA will have to adjust the number of players that schools can have on scholarship for the next few years so that players entering college in 2022-23 and 2023-24 are not negatively affected.
