Any thoughts to how Happ blocked the plate on Gio in the 1st inning?  I thought he was practically sitting on top of it and was surprised Boone didn't make a bigger stink about that.  Run might have changed the game a bit.

Honestly not sure.  I would think the plate blocking rule was to protect all players not just those with equipment like catchers.

BTW I don't know whats worse.  The Yankees being off on a Friday or the fact that Stanton swinging a hot bat will now sit this weekend in Philly.

Another reason not to watch baseball is the stupidity of MLB and how they have screwed up a once great game.

2-for-9 was better then Minnesota's total, which was 2-for-10.  In fact, all three games of this series, the team that hit better with RISP lost the game.

I really can't fault anything.  We had it where we wanted it in the ninth, Chapman just didn't have it.

Personally, I could care less about the other team, at any time.  A season long issue continued to haunt this team.  They failed to get add-on runs at a few times during this game.

game 64.
another ugly loss.
when this season is over, on the 2021 tombstone will read risp not rip.
taillon was toast, giving up 4 first inning runs.
same old, same old. lead off double by dj, no score.
an inning later, philly has lead off on second, he scores.
10th inning yank guy on 2nd is stranded, philly on 2nd scores winning run.
great to see dj's game tying getty in 9th inning.

Good call not watching today. Down 7-0 in 8th but I'm sure Booney will claim they put a number of good swings on the ball and made a lot of good pitches so we can all feel better about the team.
