In late March 2015, the rumors were flying over who was going to take over at the helm of St. John’s basketball. On March 31st, St. John’s announced that Chris Mullin would return home to become the 20th head coach in program history. The next day, it became official as the school's all-time leading scorer was introduced to over 1,000 members of the media and university. 30 years after his historic playing career in Queens came to a close, Mullin took the floor on Utopia Parkway once again to address the electric crowd.
