Curious on a couple fronts. Why has Nevada become so attractive for top recruits, transfers plus HS kids? The coach, the sleepy desert, the casinos? Kidding on last one.
And I didn't know teams could go over the scholarship limit.
I suppose it's academic if Nevada loses the 3 guys in the combine, but curious about that.

No doubt having an ex NBA head coach take a school like this to the sweet sixteen just 3 years after taking over a tail spinning program, then send 3 kids to the NBA combine pretty much touches all the bases of what a kid is looking for in a college hoops destination.

That 11 game losing streak was a kick in the hoden! This kid was obviously not looking at the academics of Berkeley and Stanford and wanted to play on a team that could make noise. Hopefully next season changes that perception.

@MurrayRGJ
Eric Musselman said he has never been more invested in recruiting a player than he was with Jordan Brown: "It might be 7 a.m. on Christmas morning and before I said hi to my family I was texting Jordan. There wasn't a day that went by that I didn't text him."

EM is a solid coach and recruiter.

Thanks Paultz.
Got to do that to get a guy like that.
Thinking we should do that with Kofi.
The competition has ratcheted higher with Kofi's play and the likes of UCONN and G*Town sniffing hard around the guy.
Kofi is our 'JB'.

Chicago, agree that we need to make a big push for Kofi as he has a high ceiling and may want to stay close to home from what Paultz has said. However, when all is said and done I'd be happy with Gaffney and a four star big who isn't in love with the three ball.

Unfortunately, Mullin doesn't do technology well, including texting it appears. After reading this about coach EM, it appears we never had a chance.

Agree NCJohnnie, but my primary concern is I wonder if we have a Plan B?!?
Agree on JG.
High character guy with an improving skill set and a great work ethic.

I posted this article a few years ago. Musselman, knows what it takes to recruit.

Pro ball and college athletics are both slave to 'talent', what players they draft or recruit.
Prima facie, it's the players that drive the legacy.
A coach / manager is a conduit, a 'conductor' for you Beethoven afficianados.
Nobody makes a masterpiece sans the 'pieces'.
