The biggest problem with this team is the lack of an offensive set. This falls on our players and our coaches. Our offense is us passing the ball around the perimeter for the majority of the shot clock and then one of our guards trying to drive/penetrate. LoVett and Ponds are playing very selfish basketball right now and seem to only care about their stats.

You want to blame it on our frontcourt? Our two bigs, Sima and Yakwe, took 5 shots tonight combined. Want to blame them for lack of offensive rebounding? We took 37 three pointers. Long shots = long rebounds....enough said. D State shot 60% from the floor, not too many opportunities for rebounds there. They could be successful, but are not put in a position to do so.

I agree that there is really no offensive game plan, pass it around til someone chucks up a 3 pretty much. You really start to question if the coaching staff is willing to put in the work to get this turned around. Why do I keep hearing announcing crews telling me how great Mullin can still shoot? A hard working coach shouldn't have time for unecessary endeavors like that. Other than Sima and Yakwe's foul shooting, what has improved since last year?
What's with the need to slap hands with every player that comes off the court? You're their coach, not their buddy! How many times have we seen(insert player here) get onto the court for three minutes, chuck up a couple bricks, commit 2 fouls and watch his man score a couple easy baskets? What happens, he comes off to adoration! Why?
The inability to change to what is happening in the game is mind-boggling. The need to play zone thing has been beaten to death, rightfully so, but so many other things are wrong. Down late last night and not fouling?
I disagree on Sima and Yakwe, any shot they take is a bad shot. The problem with these guys is they have soccer hands. Not growing up here, they didn't play sports were you have to catch the ball. It shows every night. Sima has the worst hands ever, next to the great Abe Keita.

The future is bright... The team has gotten over the 3 terrible losses early in the year and the departure of Sima... This is the first SJU team to play with heart and not give up in years... Forget next year for now, this is our year Let's go get a NIT championship banner for Carneseca Arena

There isn't one main problem. In the past decade we have been through a lot and he have had our ups and downs, mostly downs, in that time frame. Once we have consistency from the coaching staff, to a philosophy, to family structure on and off the court with players who is stay the course and believe in what Mullin and his staff want, we will be fine. Year 3 is going to answer a lot of questions, but we definitely need frontcourt help. I do nothing like the fact that 3 kids already transferred but I am not inside the locker room, film room, meetings, and practice to be able to evaluate. So, "In Mullin I Trust"

"Mullin to get out"

Are you serious? Its been 2 seasons and we have seen improvement in recruiting and wins. He has never been a head coach, give him time. He and his staff know what needs to be done. Give them time and patience, nobody wants to see the Johnnies elite again more than Coach Mullin. Your statement is ridiculous.
