Not sure if this warrants it's own thread but

@JoshGershon: 2014 Los Angeles Westchester SG Myles Stewart is headed to Saint John's as a walk-on.

This kid is a player. Good size, average athlete, can shoot it, and looks like he likes to defend. Thanks for choosing us Myles.

The nagging knee injury may also be contributing to the average athleticism.

It always amazes me when I look at some of the gyms that these kids have to play in. That gym looks like it used to be an old abandoned warehouse......

I played in a lot of rat holes,you learn to adapt. Makes you emotionally stronger

@NYPost_Brazille: Just filed Myles Stewart story. He's at #sjubb because of Trevor Ariza -- sort of That's connection between Steve Lavin and Westchester HS

I like Myles Stewart's game a lot, and think that he can maybe turn in to a solid 4 year player for us, but if Lavin is going to use his "west coast connections" to recruit kids, can't he do any better than using them to find walk ons?

Two reflections
1.I like this player and who knows - people blossom at different stages and some play better at a higher level - as with an athlete performing better in a game than in practice;
Haven't we had players like Myles who gave us four good years? I think of???? Perhaps willie glass or...
2.id like to meet some of you - I think I'll be at the 12/22 game alumni and 2/7 game MSG
If need be I'll arrive in cognito but with an "SS&G" shirt (wow how charming)
Any suggestions?

PS
Ulysses Grant on his deathbed - a little more poetic and profound than some give him credit:
I do not sleep though sometimes I doze a little...if up I am talked to and in my efforts to answer cause pain. The fact is I think I am a verb instead if a personal pronoun. A verb is anything that signifies to be; to do; or to suffer. I signify all three.

(Wow!)
All the best
