As a result of his incredible leaping ability and quickness, he is able to wait until the very last second before committing to blocking a shot. He has uncanny timing as well and I can't remember him being called for goal tending. Don't think I've ever seen anyone get off the floor as quickly as he does from the standing position. I've commented to others that when he takes a jump shot it seems as though he is shooting down at the rim. After watching this video, I'm not sure it's an illusion.

I'm sure you've gotten close to that high above the rim playing puff basketball. :) I know I have

The " bottom line" here is that we are fortunate to have quite a player with quite an upside!

And a superfan like Monte.

You mean the WWII British General...oh no wait, Monte our own astute poster!
Anyway it seems there's a consensus that Y is a keeper! Good for him. Good for us.

There's enough love for both him and Sima to go around!

Both of them seem to have great attitudes and the thing I love most about Sima is his patience. Several times he got a rebound or a loose ball and instead of rushing to get rid of it and perhaps throwing it away, he waited for the defense to clear and found a guard. Such a pleasant change from our previous center.
Proud member of the Mullinnial generation.

I am pleased with the development of all the players. The upperclassmen haven't shown as dramatic growth but they are improving. Staff is coaching them up very well.

Two questions:
1.So with Mr. Sima back we win a few more games?
2.How many prior Ls would have been Ws?
(I know with reflection probably should be in Sima topic ...)

all the best

Kassoum is shooting 70% from the free-throw line on the season. That's a massive improvement from last year.
I never thought he be able to get it that high.

If he can keep on refining his touch around the basket (improved the last few games), particularly that little baby-floater he's hit a few times, and keep on developing that high-post jumper he can be an efficient player.

The team is asking a lot of him to defend the the opposing teams big muscled front-court guys.

His rebounding has to improve, and so does his receiving the bullet pass from LoVett. That can be done.

He can do it.
I look forward to his continued improvement in his junior and senior years.
