Since the second best league in the world (after Spanish league) starts play on Friday with (my) FC Bayern (Bavarians) having Hamburgers for dinner, I thought to start a discussion for those of you who know the EPL isn't really very good anymore.

Questions:

1. Will Wolfsburg sell KDB before the deadline?
2. If they don't do they have a reasonable chance of taking the league title away from Bayern
3. Who will finish third an fourth behind these to teams?
4. Will Goetze decide to transfer this year?
5. Will Pep be back next year?

The second and fourth were very good. The fifth - Holy Cow - that was freaking brilliant skill.

He just missed a sixth, beat the keeper but the former Bayern defender, sorry don't remember the name, was on the line and deflected the shot. After that he tried feeding Meuller on at least two occasions when he might have gone for himself.

Reminded me a little of when Germany went off against Brazil last year.

Maybe that's what you get when you have a German striker going up against two Brazilian CB's.

Strike that. I forgot that Lewandowski is Polish not German. Usually the top Polish players, Podolski, Klose etc, usually find a way to play for Germany.

Opinions please, specifically Rich.

Damn. I was hoping that he would be available in case Mourinho either quit or was fired.

I wish Klopp good luck in the Pool but unless he has players likes Goetze and Lewa I question his ability. Time will tell whether his methods and game plan will work in the EPL.

However, I am very glad he went so he won't be Pep's replacement for Die Roten.

Big game in the Bundesliga this afternoon - Bayern Munich and newly promoted RB Leipzig are both tied for top position on 37 points. Leipzip (fueled on Red Bull) have taken the league by storm and the winner in this one will be laying down a mark for the rest of the season. In that case it will probably be a draw...

Bayern's back. :cheer: The game was over well before the first half ended 3-0 with a red card for RBL. Next up, the gunners. ;) :)

Yeah, but there are rumblings about Ancelotti. Team flamed out against Real and, after dominating play for 75 minutes and several missed opportunities, lost at home to Dortmund in the Pokal semis. Dortmund's young strikers exposed the weakness in Bayern's aging team.

With Lahm and Xabi retiring who are going to step up? Will Meuller regain his touch or is he on the downside? Same goes for Ribery and Robben. On the back line will Boateng recover after a series of injuries and has Martinez lost a step or two? And it seems that the younger guys, Coman and Sanches are not developing, if they ever will.

Lots of questions for next year.
