Jones by himself would not have made that much difference but his loss coupled with Sima's leaving makes the staff look bad. Playing a big east schedule with the current frontline is really challenging.

Gents, I don't mean to imply that Jones would have been All-BE, but he would have been a solid contributor. Think of it this way... let's assume Jones would have played a typical sixth man type role. He would likely have taken the majority of Ali's minutes and a chunk of Yakwe's minutes. Under that scenario, are we better or worse than what we had this season? I think that's an easy one.

Give me a grad transfer big man who can play immediately and average a solid 8 to10 points a game and 4-6 rebounds a game and more importantly be able to catch a ball and keep a defense honest.
someone like Christian jones? Lol he averaged 10.5 and 6.5 this season

6 rebounds doesn't even qualify him for top 250 in the country even worse if you assume he played 30 mins per game

Fun Fact: CJ's 6.7 boards a game would put him in 2nd for the BE conference.

That tells me more about our conference's collective chances in the tournament than it does about Jones.

Nova will surely miss Ochefu's inside presence.

And losing Omari Spellman, a beast, to eligibility issues really hurt.
