Found it interesting how much he spoke about Mullin being a factor in his decision, and how he believes that if there is anyone who can advise him on what he needs to do to realize his dream of playing at the next level, and advise him on the league generally, it is Coach. I hope Lovett and his Dad both pay attention to what Chris and Mitch have to say after this season.

I will assume he is gone and be thrilled if he returns. IMO one more year would do wonders for Marcus and for our team. We could be a top 25 team with Marcus back(assuming everyone else returns) and with the addition of a solid PF. If he does decide to go, I am fine with Simon stepping in. Not going to provide as much offense, but will be an improvement in size and on D.

Not sure that Chris and Mitch have any better advice for him than many of us on here, which is: If you're looking to have a career playing ball oversees than you can leave at any time. If you're looking to play in the NBA then it would be wise to stick around, work on becoming a true PG and elevate your stock.

Mercurial, talented & likeable kid. Obviously it would be super if he returns. For now I'll enjoy him & see what way the wind blows after the season.

Marcus will not leave school early unless sometime down the road he 's a first round draft pick.

He absolutely needs to be starting. We can't spot the top half of the big east the early lead we gave the hall.

With Simon and Clark joining next year Lovett will have a very good team to lead and improve his assist numbers which he needs to do to get to the next level.

If he was projected as a lock first round pick, I'd say god bless ya kid and got get paid and realize your dream. Thing is, I think a guard like Marcus can still get better playing against Big East guards next season. There will be some excellent ones in the conference. If he was a big, I'd feel differently, because not sure how many certain bigs (like Delgado) can improve playing against teenagers. But Lovett can improve if he stays.
