Sources point to Wichita State leaving for the AAC as the next conference realignment ripple.

That move makes zero sense to me.

Since Creighton left the MVC is marginal & I guess they feel this league is better. Also, what other options are better? Their low seeding this year speaks volumes about MVC.

I think Wichita to Big East makes infinitely more sense. But I don't work for Fox so I don't know what their thinking is.

Just wondering why everyone seems to think we need to add teams to the Conference? I am pretty happy with the current set-up. Didn't our emphasis on expansion get us in trouble the first time? Seems like we have a good number of like minded schools and I wouldn't want to change it unless their is some very good rationale. If it ain't broken don't fix it!?

Am I missing some financial or other factor?

i know your all gonna yell at me for this one but id only add/take back Cuse and Uconn together. They were original members and would fair much better with our conference, but 1) we'd never take them back, 2) Cuse is now an ACC prisoner. Oh and of course a huge exit fee if anyone leaves.

I don't like UCONN, i dislike their fans, and I've had strong negative feelings towards the schools that avandoned the BE, especially those with a northeastern location. The ability to concentrate the league within 400 miles of NYC was an amazing era for local competition and made for intense rivalries among mostly smaller private schools.

Having said that a long time ago, involved in a business dispute that went to court, a wise attorney advised, "Always do what's best for yourself, not what's worst for someone else."

Would UCONN strengthen the Big East? If so, the answer is clear, and if admitted, the business part of the deal should include a harsh financial penalty fir withdrawing that would offset any initial financial gain. Bottom line is UCONN would strengthen the conference. As much I would lije them to die a painful bball death, it would be best for us to have them in our conference

League is great in every way. Highest percentage to get into the NCAAs ever. How much stronger does it need to be? St Johns is on a positive trajectory. Yukon is on a downward death spiral. Grass is not always greener. Very short sighted. Big East will continue to thrive and does not need Yukon in any way.

If Wichita State moves to AAC, UCONN may be less inclined to leave.
