Putting aside his antics, for which he has done penance, he was doing a good job at Rutgers and previously at Robert Morris. So, he had a bit of track record, is a local name and has ties to some good kids. Hence his name coming up repeatedly.

I’m open to it, but is Mullin open to it?
There’s modest buzz on this Board about D’Lo coming in—which I also favor.
Obviously, it’s one or the other if either.
Adding either guy, involves a dramatic change in the Staff’s structure.
Again, is Mullin even considering such a move?
Is Mullin considering a 2nd recruiter or any kind of a change in the Staff’s structure?
I would urge that he does—but will he?
If not, maybe we should just stress about which players we can recruit here—given our situation.

If DLo comes on board...I'd guess it would be as a volunteer ala Zendon Hamilton.

Guess Dlo doesn't like living overseas? He's in the top 10 in scoring in the top league in Israel and only 3 years out of school. Was really impressed with the play of '19 Team Rio (NJ) guard Jalen Gaffney. Has been great in the open floor with his burst of speed. @TheHoopGroup

I could see Gaffney picking up several more offers after summer play. Good to know we are on him hard right now. Who knows what the outcome will be, but he does seems like a good player to prioritize.

Would love to see Jalen come here, but guessing those odds would be impacted IF Davion Mitchell transferred here. Both would be eligible to play in 2019-20 season.
Is the staff reading ‘tea leaves’ (so to speak!) on JG—although the ‘timing’ sure the hell is awry—on whether to continue ‘checking out’ DM?

Hi Paultz. So, “D’Lo stuff has no basis.” But the Mike Rice ‘buzz’ would be possible if CM wanted it?
Last week, there was some ‘buzz’ about Rice talking to and potentially going to Pitt.
This ‘stuff’ is wide-ranging and totally ‘free-lance’ isn’t it?
Frustrating waiting for shoes to drop and pieces to fit.

Correct on D’Lo

As I have noted, this week there was a rumor about a staff change, but you know rumors. Re Rice, who knows where he winds up. He did visit campus three times over summer, early Fall and made it known to CM he was available. For whatever reason, he was not offered a spot.
