Well folks, did we just witness the last St. John's victory of the season? With games against Georgetown, Notre Dame and a TBD Big East Tournament opponent, the chances are good that 14 will end up as the team's final victory total. Fear not Red Storm fans, because you are witnessing progress. Last year, St. John's won 11 games. This, year 14 AND COUNTING. Progess my friends. Embrace it. The Red Storm shot a season-high .604 percent (32-of-53 shots). They made 7-of-13 threes and were 13-of-18 from the line. It was the eighth road victory for St. John's under Norm Roberts. SJU is now 2-8 on the road this season. Party. DePaul has now lost a school record 16 straight games. Paris Horne and D.J. Kennedy each scored 17 points to lead SJU. Five of Horne's six baskets were three-pointers. Rob Thomas had a career-high 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting off the bench in 14 minutes. Justin Burrell had just four points and no rebounds in 27 minutes. Dele Coker did not play. Dar Tucker led DePaul with 24 points. Will Walker had 15 points and Mac Koshwal added 11 points and 10 rebounds. St. John's lead reached 30 points in the second half. |
