Well, I was wondering all night last night when was the last time we had gone over 100 points at MSG.

I happen to have the 2001-2002 media guide at home, and according to that, last time we went over 100 at MSG was December 26, 1972, in the Holiday Festival, 112-86 over Grambling. That game, and yesterday, are the only 2 times we went over 100 at the current MSG.

They said yesterday that the last 100pt game for us was in 98. Niagra maybe. I forget.

When Fordham passed in to the low post or had someone drive towards the low post and the ball was then kicked back out to the offensive left corner by Fordham, we almost never got a defender back out in time to contest the three. If that is C J Fair and we do the same thing next week, it could be big trouble.

Last 100 point game was vs. Providence in February 1999, but that was at Alumni Hall. Grambling in 72 was last 100 point game at MSG.

I don't recall having so much fun watching a blowout since an early season game in I think 1984 against UCLA when I was a teenager. Anyone remember that game?
Not that long ago. The next game was the Pitt hooker scandal and Jarvis's last year. I think it was Howland's first year. They had a kid who played for the Knicks and not much else. I think Showtime and Ingram had big games for the Johnnies. Georgetown was our only BE win. Man, we been through some rough times.

You're correct. Howland was at UCLA, and we beat them badly at the Garden.

The "kid" you're thinking about is Trevor Ariza. I believe he committed when Lavin was still coaching UCLA.

I am actually having recollections of a UCLA game at the Garden 30 years ago. Reggie Miller might have been a freshmen but my memory is very vague. I remember Willie Glass with a couple of tomahawk dunks, kinda like Pointer today.

It was December 1984 and the score was 88-69 but the victory seems more dominant in my mind. Miller was a Sophomore and I believe UCLA was ranked and the favorite. We made it to the Final Four and I think they won the NIT.

I don't remember that particular game. I remember the game the following season ('85-'86), when we beat them at Pauley. Walter Berry had a big game.

went to Pauley for that one had seats right behind the SJU bench. You're right about Walter but Willie Glass got right in Reggie Miller's grill from the onset and Miller had an off afternoon as a result. I stayed with a co-worker who is a UCLA grad, he wasn't happy about the outcome. ;)

With 16 minutes to go in the second half of the Ga. Tech game we had 27 points and were down 10. From then to the end of the Fordham game it looks like we have something to look forward to.

Louie coined the term "Twin Towers" to refer Wennington and Allen.

He always liked to refer to his big man, if he had one, or an opposing one, as an aircraft carrier.

Great to see he has turned his life around. He and his family were wiped out by Superstorm Sandy in Far Rockaway. Once a redmen always a redmen!
